The vertical and mileage estimates, although accounted to the foot or
tenth of a mile, are still estimates with limited accuracy. The
measurement locations have been chosen to be easily recognizable
localities approximately ten miles apart. They actually range
form 8.1 to 11.5 miles. The

vertical measurements are taken from an approximation made using
